The federal budget was presented today and I am very pleased to see that it recognizes the benefits of investment in research, development and talented people, and the impact it will have on Canadians over the long-term.
This afternoon, I held the annual President's State of the University address, which was an opportunity for me to share my thoughts on the academy. Thank you to all who attended--in fact, we were at capacity, which left many people standing.
